In 2007 we created our first year puppet float in the Groton Olde Home Days Parade and are proud to say, we took first place! We have continued in the parade every year since then and placed among the top 3 floats.
In 2008 we included a similar float along with a wonderfully made 321 Penguins spaceship by one of our most creative team members, Chuck Hendrickson. It was fashioned after the VBS theme our church hosted that year.
We welcome any one who is interesting in reaching children with the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a fun and creative way, to come and join us. We do monthly puppet shows during the school year every 3rd Sunday of the month in our church Fellowship Hall at about 11 am, just prior to normal Junior Church time.
We make most of our own puppets, but use a few purchased ones as well. We are always in need of script writers, construction helpers, sewing help, scenery developers, voices and tele-prompting too. Just contact us by clicking on one of the links at the top of the website!
We have recently decided to make our scripts available to the whole world via a website we created called www.instantpuppetshows.com.
We took first place again in the 2010 Groton Olde Home Days Parade!
Thanks to all those who helped make it happen!!!
